Necklace Hero Shot

A 3D-printed gold necklace showing the mountains surrounding Dornbirn, Vorarlberg with an inset emerald.

The final necklace was modeled in Blender, taking topographical data from OSM, and then the fine details were sculpted in place. It was then 3D printed as a wax copy which was used to cast it in gold. The emerald was set with a friction fit and some jewelry adhesive for good measure. Here are some images of the final product as well as an interactive 3D model.

After creating the physical necklace I also modelled a few extra cities in Blender. Including Belfast & Glasgow. These I rendered in Keyshot with a variety of different scenes.
